8 Things to think about when having a destination wedding....

So you're getting married in Cabo....

1. If getting hitched outside of your country, the language barrier is something to consider.

"Do be sure your wedding planner or the company you hire someone that can communicate in both languages. The last thing you need is miscommunication while trying to set your menu."

2. Is my wedding going to be a real legal ceremony?

"Only if you are being married by a minister or judge your ceremony will be legal. Another option for you to ease your stress is to have your legal documents drawn up at your nearest Social Security office and have your ceremonial given by a Non-Denominational minister."

3. Blood work??? Are you kidding me...
"No worries! If you are considering a real legal ceremony, then on top of having a judge or minister conducting your ceremony you need to have a blood test as well. The procedure is completed by trained medical personnel in a  clean and safe environment."

4. What time of years should I consider having my wedding?

"October thru June is optimal time for getting married in Cabo!  July starts to get hot.... August thru October is unbearably hot and humid not to mention hurricane season."

5. Does Cabo have a tropical climate?

"Nope, Cabo is not tropical!  Cabo is more like Palm Springs meets the ocean... Cabo is not like Cancun or Puerto Vallarta, there is no jungle here. Cabo with beautiful cacti scenery and surrounded with warm turquoise waters."

6. How do I get my wedding dress to my there?

"Most airlines will accommodate your needs. Some will even let you hang your dress in first class!  Be sure to have a good travel bag for it."

7. Who's going to do my hair and makeup?

"Here in Cabo we have top professional hair and makeup artists waiting to help you recreate your vision. Your wedding planner will know exactly who to recommend for you, depending on your styling desires. Be sure to have a pre-session with your hair and makeup stylist so you're both on the same page."

8. A destination wedding seems too expensive, I don't think I can afford one....

"Having a destination wedding is more affordable than you think!  For one your guest list is not monstrous and you can have your wedding plus your honeymoon rolled into one. When having a destination wedding there is no need for an elaborate venue or reception decor, because the exotic location you choose with it's beach and seashells will speak for itself."
