Love Recipe

I have been happily married for 24 wonderful years. Yes, every couples goes through challenges but it is how they get through those challenges together is what makes a successful relationship. I have been coordinating destination weddings in Cabo San Lucas for over 16 years and have had the privilege to see the most crucial turning-point in a relationship - "When a couple decides to commit to one another."

The "Love Recipe" is a perfect example of what each partner should contribute to a relationship to be healthy and successful.

The Arch In Cabo San Lucas

Cabo San Lucas, otherwise known as Cabo is located at the very tip of the Baja California Peninsula. Cabo has been rated as one of Mexico's top spots for tourists to enjoy pristine beaches, fishing, scuba, and the famous El Arco (The Arch).

"The Arch in Cabo San Lucas" refers to the famous rock formation that appears out of the ocean where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean. You'll find it on postcards, t-shirts and even bottles of tequila. Land's End (Spanish: El Finisterra) is the name of the entire set of the rocks, including the Arch, the Window to the Pacific, Lover's beach and more. Sometimes people will refer to the Arch as Land's End.

There is a phenomenon that every few years a beach is visible around the arch. Sometimes you can even walk under the arch. This is caused by the changing of the tides and is very hard to predict. You will hear versions such as it only appears every 7 years or every 4 years etc.

Today we are so lucky to be part of this phenomena.  El Arco has come out of the water and is more beautiful than ever!

Difference between a Symbolic Ceremony and Civil Ceremony

Often I get the question: What is the difference between just having a Symbolic Ceremony versus the Legal Ceremony?

A Civil Ceremony:
  • Judge must preside and perform the ceremony
  • Legal anywhere in the world.
  • You must have blood tests taken in Cabo
  • You must provide 4 witnesses

A Symbolic Ceremony:

  • Do not have to do blood tests
  • A Non-Denominational minister will perform the ceremony
  • You can customize the ceremony with the minister
